Become a leader by participating in the Leadership Montgomery County or LMC program, in which students develop leadership skills, learn about issues affecting our community, meet public and private sector leaders, and grow personally and professionally.
Leadership Montgomery County is an experience in personal and professional growth that affords future leaders the opportunity to strengthen their organizational and leadership skills, become more familiar with the community in which they live and work, meet community leaders and other professionals and network, network, network! With more than 50 graduates from both non-profit and for profit settings, the LMC “network” is growing, and serves both the Chamber and its service region.
The program is designed with the assumption that everyone has strengths and talents for leading, helping participants understand and leverage their personal strengths and explore ways of maximizing the strengths of those around them. This philosophy is applied throughout the program, whether it’s discussing how to lead high performing teams and organizations or effect change within the community.

Year Four of Leadership Montgomery County, an experience in personal and professional growth, begins in September, 2007. This program affords local professionals the opportunity to strengthen and sharpen their organizational and leadership skills and abilities, and become familiar with the community in which they live and work. |
Some Leadership Montgomery County highlights:
♦ All participants take two on-line leadership personality assessments – the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Step Two® and the Gallup Strengthsfinder™ – followed by comprehensive sessions to help them discover who they are when they are at their best.
♦ Civic Leadership sessions focus on learning both the infrastructure and regional issues in five domains: Health and Human Services, Economic Development, Education, Government, and Culture.
♦ A 25 person Advisory Board of business and community leaders is available to each team as a resource to assist in planning, making connections and meeting people.
Sponsorship opportunities provide organizations the opportunity to get your name in the public eye of the community and a wonderful chance to support a quality program that is turning out tomorrow's leaders.
