Improving the Business Climate Through Legislative & Community Action The emccc is always working to improve the business climate through legislative and community action.  The Chamber is an advocate for business in the legislative and policy-making arena at the local, county, state and federal level and is a member of The Pennsylvania Chamber and the US Chamber of Commerce.  Two committees, Legislative Affairs and Economic Development, concentrate on legislative and economic development, transportation and regional planning issues and frequently meet with government experts in these fields. The Chamber has regular dialogue with elected officials from the national, state and local levels. Many of these officials are active participants in the emccc.  The emccc regularly hosts programs allowing members to meet their elected officials and local municipal managers such as Breakfast With Your County Commissioners, An Evening With your State Representatives, Breakfast with Your Municipal Managers.

Keeping You Informed on Business Issues
Enhance your skills and knowledge, keep informed about what’s happening, and meet other business and community leaders by attending Chamber forums, seminars and programs presented by experienced speakers on a range of critical business concerns.  The Chamber presents expert speakers addressing issues such as the Economic Outlook, The Psychology of Being Connected, The Rising Cost of Healthcare in Pennsylvania, and Strengths-Based Leadership: Positive Approaches for Outstanding Performances.

The 75th Anniversary Community Profile & Membership Directory promotes member businesses in the Eastern Montgomery County area. This has proven to be an outstanding tool to utilize in promoting the area to customers and prospects.

As a Chamber member, your business is automatically listed in the annual 75th Anniversary Community Profile & Membership Directory.  Your membership provides you a FREE listing by business category in our annual Membership Directory which is distributed to all members, commercial and industrial prospects as well as all new businesses, professionals and families in the region.  To help your listing stand out from the others, members can purchase a BOLD listing in the Directory. 
The Directory is also available to the general public on the Chamber’s website, www.emccc.org, with a free hyperlink to your website.  Users can search for businesses by category or alphabetically by business name or by contact person's first name or last name.  Members may purchase the membership database in electronic format for Member to Member correspondence.

Commerce Comments - the Chamber’s print newsletter,  emcccMAIL - the Chamber’s e-newsletter, and www.emccc.org -  the Chamber’s new website all provide opportunities to showcase your business through advertising or you may submit a business profile for inclusion (space permitting) at no charge.  A new member can introduce their business by using our flyer insert service once at a 50% discounted rate.
