Leadership Montgomery County - Schedule & Group Projects

Program Projects

All participants within the program serve on a community-based project team. Project teams focus on either a community service project or in developing an open forum discussing a current issue in the region. Projects generally require additional time investments beyond the formal class time.

Many of the Forums are open to EMCCC members and to the general public. Check out the EMCCC online calendar for registration.

Call for Projects

Leadership Montgomery County’s (LMC’s) vision is to produce a highly capable, informed and engaged network of leaders serving Eastern Montgomery County. Individual participation in group projects - we call them Leadership Forums - is one way we build that capacity.

The goal of this Call for Projects is to solicit a range of project choice options for our 3-5 person Leadership Forum project teams. Project proposals are being sought from anyone in the Eastern Montgomery County region that may be interested in submitting a project idea.  Our ideal projects should:
* Be regional in nature, spanning the Eastern Montgomery County area,
* Ask for collaboration from LMC’s four different stakeholder groups – nonprofits, business, government, and education,
* Be able to be completed before May 15, 2010, and
* Have a
collaborating organization and a primary contact person that the Leadership Forum project team can work with. A collaborating organization is an organization that is either served by the successful completion of the project and/or is an active partner in moving the project idea forward.
